“I apologise for shopping here”

That’s what I feel like saying to some shop assistants for daring to ask for service.

It’s not that they’re having a bad day. They always seem to have a bad day every day.

The economy can be tough on retail, but bad service can be tougher. There are lots of people out there who want to part with their money, but there are some retailers who obviously don’t want to accept it.

Is it the weather?

Shopping for a record turntable today.

We felt we almost had to apologise for asking a sales girl for advice. She was so offhand and uninterested in our business. We would not have bought from her even it was exactly what we needed. So no yellow bags in our hands today.

There is money out there but some businesses don’t want it!
