On a cold and wet winter night it’s good to know the public transport system is running. Or so I thought so. Tonight they either didn’t arrive or didn’t stop. So I got a taxi. I shouldn’t complain. Everyone knows that their taxes are not used to provide public services but to fatten useless politicians.

Come on Summer!
It’s the beginning of September and yes, it’s really still Winter, but it is colder than usual. People are still wearing coats and jumpers. Come on Summer!
Doing something twice
A former boss once told me that people often make mistakes because they don’t take enough time to check their work. And it’s funny how they seem to find the time to correct it the second time.
In other words: “Why do it properly when you can do it twice!”.

Rain
We’d prefer it inland, but it’s raining in Sydney. Perhaps the farms should have been on the coast and the cities inland.
Cold Winter
This has to be the coldest winter in Sydney for some years. It’s interesting that global warming now tends to be referred to as climate change. Perhaps those that have been claiming that the sky will fall in have realised that their global warming predictions are unbelievable.
$2,000 for an old car?
People who own old cars are less likely to be able to afford a new car. So Julia Gillard’s offer of $2,000 towards a new one is fanciful. And another Labor stunt that will never happen. This is one policy that won’t move forward.
