Month: July 2013
Why are we paying for Holden?
Why are we taxpayers paying for a company that cannot survive without subsidies?
Is it because they employ good Labor voters? Is it because the jobs saved are paying union dues that go to Labor to fight elections?
Where is the Labor government when small business and farmers go under? Where you say? I can’t hear you!
There are days …
There are days when so much is going on that you don’t have time to think. Time to think of what really stood out that day that is worth telling others.
Today is such a day.
Empathy
Sometimes it’s helpful to meet someone who is having a harder time than you, because it teaches you empathy. Being willing or able to understand someones feelings.
Without empathy we become heartless beasts. And beasts feed on others and create misery for the world.
No care at all
Every time you see the disability ads on TV, you see unfortunate people being used for propaganda purposes.
Mislead into thinking they are going to be helped. In reality, they will probably get very little at all.
It’s sickening how low politicians will stoop to continue in power.
Young Prince Cambridge
By George, they got it!
‘Rudd the magician’
The Prime Minister fancies himself as a bit of a magician.
Mr Rudd will have us believe that the enormous debt Labor has racked up is not really a problem. His logic is that our net per capita debt is one of the lowest compared to other nations.
Well Mr Rudd, how many $billions is that and how long will it take Australian taxpayers to pay it back?
‘Rudd the magician’ may want to pull a rabbit out of his hat on this issue but he’ll be confronted by an Abbott, and that won’t do him any good.
At the end of today
At the end of today, the day that began, ends.
And so with tomorrow morning, everything that is going to end that day, begins.
You never know tomorrow until it begins and it ends. So live for today.
And this is the end. But just for today.
Name the Royal baby
Trains
Today, after a long time, I travelled on a peak hour train. They were crowded years ago, but today they’re worse.
People desperate to get on and find a seat or just a place to stand. How they put up with it is amazing. Unfortunately, most have no alternative.
Cities are stressing us. Trains are helping to do it.
